Expertise

I have 25 years’ experience working in the events industry, across a range of sectors including festivals, trade shows, conferences and consumer exhibitions.

I have experience in all areas of the event cycle  - operations, marketing and sales - and as an Event Director I've steered teams to deliver outstanding and profitable events.

I've worked on industry-leading shows such as the Mobile World Congress, The Cycle Show, and The National Wedding Show. In my most recent permanent role I led the launch and roll-out of the successful Tom Kerridge presents Pub in the Park festival tour.

My specialist area of passion and expertise is in idea concept and development, working with businesses to examine and develop brand extensions and launch events.  I have worked with Brand Events, ESI Media, Barbados Tourism Marketing and Extreme International on concept R&D and event delivery. I also love working with established events to help, and have led teams as Event Director on London Art Fair and New Designers for Immediate Media Live. I am currently working with Chris Evans' CarFest family festival and with The Evening Standard.

THE DESIRE TO GATHER TOGETHER IN A CROWD IS A PART OF WHO WE ARE

Have an idea for a launch event but no time to conduct the due diligence required before making the leap? I can help.

I can determine the financial viability of a event  and conduct the necessary research into your target market, audience demographics and competitor analysis.

Once the research stage is complete I can then lead the strategic  direction and budget setting, allowing you to make a fully informed decision.

If you decide to go ahead, I can either then stay with you to run this for you, or can provide a comprehensive plan for your team to take it forward.

RE-MODELLING

Maintaining profitable and successful events year in, year out is tricky and as industry  we're vulnerable to things that are often beyond our control, such as decreased consumer interest, or competitors that are out-performing us.

The solutions are often there, you sometimes just need a fresh pair of eyes to see them. I have helped a number of struggling events regain their position in the market, while improving visitor numbers and increasing profits.

If you have an event that needs a new direction, let me re-examine it from top to bottom and set out a new strategy to secure its future.

GEO-CLONING

One of the most effective growth strategies for an event is to create a clone in a new geographic region which offers you and your commercial partners a new audience of similar customers.

Having worked on both the national and international stage, including a roadshow of Mobile Technology Events and a national tour of consumer food and music festivals, I can conduct demographic analysis in order to identify a new visitor base.

I can also source the perfect venue and take on any licencing and council matters ( if in a greenfield site) to make your dream location a reality.

Cheryl was the Show Director when we launched our first ever Tom Kerridge presents Pub in the Park and her hard work, creativity, determination and vision made it a hugely successful launch event. She then developed this into a tour of eight nationwide events and was responsible for one of the fastest growing festival businesses in the industry.  She cares deeply about her work and is highly competent and commercially-minded. We continue to work with Cheryl and are planning several possible ventures together.
